DraftKings' Global Compliance & Risk Team is searching for a Compliance Intern to join our Global Compliance & Risk Internship Program. This role will assist the Compliance team in the execution of key programmatic functions to enhance risk management practices and support future business growth. The role will learn about DraftKings businesses, engage with stakeholders, and work on projects that are critical to the Compliance Team's success. Sound good to you? Join us.

What you'll do as a Compliance Intern:

  • Provide program support for key functions within the Global Risk and Compliance team such as Corporate Compliance, AML, Responsible Gaming, or other specialized compliance functions
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to gain first-hand experience in key aspects of our risk framework, including policy development, research and analysis, issue management, and business reporting.
  • Assist with implementation of projects and collection of key deliverables to ensure project success and drive timely delivery
  • Engage closely with cross-functional partners throughout the business to evaluate risks, become educated on compliance and regulatory requirements, and develop innovative mitigation strategies and approaches to problem solving.
  • Understand the processes and procedures utilized by DraftKings to comply with applicable laws and regulations
  • Contribute to establishing compliance program documentation and training materials
What you'll bring:
  • Currently pursuing and undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Economics, Audit, Risk Management, Political Science, Pre-Law, or a similar field
  • Experience in working in a business environment with preference for a prior role in compliance, audit, or risk management
  • Ability to quickly solve problems, articulate risk-based recommendations, and work autonomously in a fast-paced, professional environment
  • Interpret and synthesize business data and convey it in a clear and succinct manner.
  • Willingness to take initiative and think critically
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications or Google Suite products

The US hourly rate for this full-time position is $25.34 - $38.02, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
