Who We Are:

Using chemistry and chemical engineering technologies, we perform research and evaluation services for industrial and government clients. Our scientists are pioneers in multiple chemistry fields including environmental engineering, chemical and process engineering, microencapsulation, polymer and material sciences, chemical demilitarization, fire, and chemical analyses.

Objectives of this Role:

  • Handle routine tasks that may have some variability and require judgment based on the level of authority vested by the supervisor.
  • Work under general supervision with an increased level of ability to handle routine tasks and special activities as assigned.
  • Have full knowledge of tasks and terminology associated with their work area, specific program activities, and standard office procedures and equipment.


Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Provide clerical services for staff in the department. This may include researching, making copies, scanning, comparing documents, locating missing items, and filling out forms.
  • Be the Dept Coordinator for vetting visitors/vendors and updating dept email list of weekly visitors.
  • Coordinate weekly with vendors for uniforms, bottled water, gas cylinders, dry ice, paper shredding, and others.
  • Receive packages & other deliveries.
  • Manage Pitney Bowes package system for the dept.
  • Log in items received into CIMS Inventory system, make labels, re-order items as needed.
  • Coordinate items that need calibration. Take them to Cal Lab.
  • Request new items be placed in QA list and order maintenance logbook.


Requirements:

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4-6 years years: Related clerical experience or customer service.
  • A valid/clear driver's license is required.
