Associate, US Real Estate Research

Based in New York, the Associate, US Real Estate Research will work alongside the Head of Research for North America. the Associate will be responsible for conducting property market, macroeconomic, and thematic research. The role includes responsibility for a wide range of activities to support the global investment mandate of QuadReal. Including, but not limited to asset-specific analysis, monitoring economic and market developments, and tracking changes in relevant geopolitical, technological, demographic and environmental factors. QuadReal's Global Research team is responsible for conducting research into the factors impacting property market performance, while contributing views about the outlook of real estate markets.

As an Associate, US Real Estate Research You Will:

* Supporting the research needs of the US debt and equity teams by tracking and interpreting data on economics, demographics, and capital markets

* Assist with the development of investment strategies based on real estate market analysis and forecasts; knowledge of alternative asset classes would be an advantage

* Supporting real estate investment underwriting through in-depth market analysis

* Contributing to and assisting in the development of presentations on market trends

* Assisting in formulating strategies based on real estate market analysis and forecasts

* Contributing regular views on global commercial real estate as an asset class

* Contributing to presentations, communications, and market commentaries as required.

* Collaborating with research, investment, and international teams located in international offices to support the global investment mandate of QuadReal

* Update and maintain proprietary databases, tools, and models

* Keep current on major political, economic, and market events that impact real estate investment market conditions in North American & globally

Your Background:

* A Bachelor's degree is required, and a graduate degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, and Geography, or a related field is preferred.

* Minimum 3 years of relevant research, analytical, and advisory expertise in real estate with a good knowledge of US markets.

* Demonstrated ability to aggregate and stratify large quantities of data and distill information into a concise presentation format

* Proven ability to formulate and test hypotheses about real estate trends in the market

* Strong quantitative computer skills (Excel, SQL, etc.) and familiarity with industry data sources - CoStar, Real Capital Analytics, Oxford Economics, Macrobond, NCREIF, etc.

* Experience with Alternative Investment Research preferred (Data Centers, Self Storage)

The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $120,000 to $135,000.

The actual salary offered will take into consideration a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the individual's skill, experience, education and training, the market compensation of the role, and the consideration to internal equity.
