Description

Primary responsibilities are focused on assisting members and potential members with their credit union needs and services.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide prompt, accurate and courteous service to members.
  • Must maintain established goals and ensure accurate information is delivered to the members at all times.
  • Must follow through on all member commitments in a timely manner.
  • Identify cross sell products and services to members at every opportunity.
  • Process credit union member transactions and services as required in the Service Center.
  • Process debit card activations/blocking/international access.
  • Process Master Card requests including assistance with all card related inquiries and payments.
  • Assist members with eTeller; including initial registration, password re-sets, bill pay, and payment inquiries.
  • Process Deluxe check orders and research member and branch inquiries as necessary.
  • Effectively handle member service complaints and escalate to management as necessary.
  • Process return mail.
  • Assist in resolving member questions and discrepancies.
  • Reach monthly referral goals as assigned in order to receive an overall 'meets" performance rating in the annual review. Inconsistent cross-selling standards including not meeting monthly goals and may lead to counseling up to and including termination.
  • Direct members to most appropriate sales and service staff or delivery channels.
  • Ensure adherence to all job-related aspects of the credit union's compliance programs - specifically but not limited to the BSA/OFAC/US Patriot Act/Red Flag/Elder Abuse.
  • Compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and other compliance programs and their implementing regulations, as they pertain to your position, is a condition of employment. Attendance to the compliance training programs is mandatory. Your participation or lack thereof of the credit union's compliance and compliance training program is part of and may influence the results of your performance evaluation.
  • Follow all WestStar's policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Position Requirements

Minimum of one year customer service experience and/or one year credit union or financial institution experience. Previous sales and service oriented, goal driven and the ability to analyze financial information and goal driven. Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish). Basic computer knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office -Excel, Word, Outlook.
