**JOB FAMILY OVERVIEW:**

The Plant Operations Family is accountable for all plant/facility production processes, practices and operations to meet business needs. Ensures production safety in relation to both product safety and employee safety. Ensures quality and reliability and places a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Accountable for plant/facility financial performance, capital effectiveness and efficiency.

**POSITION PURPOSE:**

This Warehouse Manager position is responsible for all activities regarding packaging warehouse operations, packaging material quality, raw material receiving and coordinating inventory control for internal warehouses.

For packaging warehouse operations, this role manages up to 20 material handlers ensuring that they are performing the job per the operating discipline and performing process checks and audits per plant requirements. This role also acts as a leader for the material handlers and warehouse staff helping them learn, maintain and improve our operating procedures and using our processes when performing their roles. In the raw material receiving role, this role owns the receiving function and will develop the implementation of electronic lot traceability from our raw materials to finished goods. This role will also monitor packaging material quality and improve the quality of materials as needed. In the inventory control role, this role will ensure best practices are used for inventory control of raw materials and finished goods. The position will familiarize themselves with quality and food safety standards and help coordinate compliance with those systems.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:**

**Operations:**

Identifies areas for improvement and owns operating discipline for the packaging warehouse and bulk loadouts.

Provide a knowledgeable and credible coach / mentor within the warehouses to assist teams and individuals, with issues such as People Systems policies, guidelines, conflict resolution, etc.

Warehouse subject matter resource for People Systems policies, procedures, and guidelines

Warehouse link to site People Systems, to ensure standardization of policies.

Subject matter resource for Shift People Systems Focal Point. Identifies areas for improvement and network with technical resources who are identifying Most Effective Technology.

Participates as required in Product Stewardship audits, customer visits, provide support to address and resolve customer needs.

Ensures service requests are value adding, and align with the business, Plant and team goals.

Determines adequacy of Operating Discipline procedures and plans for new service requests.

Acts as Plant liaison to Expertise Centers for general activities and sharing of core Plant personnel.

Correspondence to secure additional customer information to resolve customer disputes.

Improve SAP knowledge and skills within the warehouse.

**Leadership/Coaching:**

Provides leadership up to 20 material handlers

Coaches teams or individuals on resolving conflict.

Coaches individuals through employee development process.

Coaches Plant personnel to resolve technical material handling issues.

Assists teams in handling performance feedback process.

Works with teams to resolve team assignment issues.

**Safety:**

Participate in safety process to include observations and completing required training on time.

Ensure process and safety checks are completed accurately and on time.

**QUALIFICATIONS:**

**Education and Experience Required:**

High School Diploma or GED.

5+ years experience in warehouse operations, supply chain or related fields desired.

Experience in a chemical or polymer manufacturing operation a plus but not required

Operate enterprise system software, Microsoft office software (word, excel, access, and outlook express) and office equipment.

Working within our enterprise system which is SAP.

demonstrated ability to work effectively with external and internal customers in a friendly, supportive manner.

Excellent teaming skills, proactively providing backup and functional support as needed.

Excellent communication skills, in person, on the phone, and in writing.

Demonstrated high initiative in servicing customers while making the best business decisions.

Ability to effectively multi-task at a sustained, proficient level

**Education and Experience Preferred:**

Bachelors degree

10+ years experience in warehouse operations, supply chain or related fields desired.

SAP or another ERP system experience.

**WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:**

Warehouse Environment, coaching material handlers to use operating discipline.

Office environment, with ability to sit and operate a keyboard and telephone throughout the standard workday

As needed walking through the plant to conduct observations and conduct training.

Minimal travel (<10%), primarily due to training or visits to a satellite warehouse

Occasional scheduled and unplanned overtime (evening or weekends) required to handle emergency customer orders.
