Mechanic/Machine Adjuster
Direct Mail Solutions is a full-service mail company located in Richmond, Virginia. DMS is seeking a Night Shift Mechanic/Machine Adjuster in our Lettershop department, who are responsible for setting up and running production jobs.
The Lettershop Mechanic who will be responsible for maintenance, repair, and installation of production equipment.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical or electrical troubleshooting to diagnose equipment failures.
- Identify ways to take proper corrective action and to expedite operational status of production machinery.
- Perform maintenance (mechanical, hydraulic, electronic, pneumatic) and electrical work on equipment and machinery.
- Service machinery in priority order.
- Train and assist operators in functioning techniques and adjustments.
- Replace defective parts.
- Provide support in areas necessary to maximize productivity.
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:- Mechanical skills in a production environment are required.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify equipment problems.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail.
- Work independently and self-motivated.
- Must follow safety guidelines, minimize the downtime of machines, and keep all machines in safe working order.
This is a full-time position. Night shift positions available.
Core night shift hours are Monday - Thursday, 7:30pm - 6:00am.
