Leverage your industry experience and join our expanding team in this Commercial Cla ims Adjuster role! We are seeking an exp erienced commercial claims adjuster to provide front-line customer-focused handling for our covered territorie s . This adjuster will be responsible for all aspects of coverage, investigation, negotiation, and resolution withi n established best practices whi le utilizing independent judgment in decision-making and managing the claim promptly and thoroughly from inception through closure. This opportunity can be based at our Raleigh headquarters or remote in North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, Virg inia , or Georgia . Handling all aspects of investigation and settlement of assigned claims to include interviewing all involved parties; reviewing property damage estimates; evaluatin g and making recom mendations regarding coverage of claims; determining liability and the total v alue of claims; n egotiating settlements and makin g recommendations regarding litigation; with a focus on prompt resolution and exceptional customer service. Cal culat ing and pay ing a ppropriate benefits promptly. Proactively manag ing claim costs, expenses , and th e activity o f as signed outside vendors. Mai nt aining professional and technical knowledge by attending Builders Mutual sponsored training classes Skills to get the JOB do ne RIGHT: 3 + years of commercial claims handling experience which may include gen eral lia bility , property, bodily injury or aut o . Experience handling minor to complex g eneral l iability and property claims in the residential/commercial construction industry is preferred . BA/BS Degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and claims experience. Proficient in the use and knowledge of MS Office software; knowl edge of policy pro cessing and imaging systems Pursuit of, or ability to pursue, AIC, ARM, or CPC U certific a tio n, working knowledge of a claims ma nagement system is a plus.
