We are committed to promoting and providing a range of services to improve the health and security of people experiencing homelessness in the Missoula community.Who You Are:A highly skilled and motivated Data Specialist with significant database knowledge and expertise in Salesforce. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our data systems, ensuring accurate and efficient data collection, analysis, and reporting. The Data Specialist will collaborate with various departments to enhance the organization's ability to leverage data for informed decision-making and strategic planning.What You'll Do* Database Management:* Oversee the organization's database infrastructure, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility.* Develop and implement data collection and storage best practices.* Perform routine data maintenance tasks, including data cleaning and validation.* Salesforce Administration:* Serve as the primary administrator for Salesforce, customizing and enhancing the platform to meet organizational needs* Provide user support, training, and documentation for Salesforce-related processes.* Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for system improvements and enhancements.* Data Analysis and Reporting:* Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to support program evaluation, fundraising efforts, and organizational decision-making.* Analyze data trends, identify insights, and present findings to key stakeholders.* Collaborate with internal teams to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs).* Data Security and Compliance:* Implement and enforce data security protocols to safeguard sensitive information.* Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards.* Collaboration:* Work closely with program managers, fundraising teams, and other departments to understand their data needs and provide necessary support.* Foster a collaborative and communicative environment to promote data-driven decision-making.Keys to SuccessPoverello Staff are adaptable, compassionate, creative, and flexible problem solvers. We are seeking someone with:Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analytics).Proven experience as a Data Specialist or similar role, with expertise in database management and Salesforce administration.(Salesforce Administration Certificate would be a bonus)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Knowledge of data protection regulations and best practices.Self awareness and the ability to reflect on and describe the impact of their own identities, situations, and experiences-and those of others. This position reports to the Director of Development and is based at the emergency shelter in Missoula, Montana. The wage for this position is $22.00-24.00 hourly DOE.
