Centreville Bank is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Residential Lending Intern. This position will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside a high-performing team, give you exposure and understanding of the Bank's Residential Lending function. The role will give you hands-on experience and a better understanding of the work that goes into the Residential Lending process. You will also gain exposure to the day-to-day leadership and business operations of a community bank. This Internship will help prepare you to start your career upon graduation and may lead to part-time and/or full-time career opportunities at Centreville Bank.
Responsibilities:
- Will learn to perform quality control responsibilities in areas that have been suggested by auditors.
- Collaborates with the closers to review the loan pipeline.
- Review closing documents, effectively utilize checklists to Post Close loan files, and file documentation accordingly.
- Collaborates with the Management team to execute on Quality Control duties such as scrubbing pipelines to ensure adherence to appraisal delivery requirements, ensuring proper state specific disclosures are mailed to borrowers timely, etc.
- Present findings/exceptions with the respective areas, i.e. Underwriting, Secondary Market or Operations (Loan Processing, Initial Disclosure or Closing)
Requirements
Required Experience/Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited college/university
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of all sensitive information.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail
Scheduling and Availability: - Must be available to work 40 hours per week during normal business hours.
- The internship will take place from June 10, 2024, thru August 16, 2024.
