JOB SUMMARY: Delivers and picks up parts and equipment from customers and vendors in a safe and timely manner. Assists the parts and service departments.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Delivers to and picks up parts and equipment from customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, vendors and service technicians.

* Coordinates pickup and deliveries when needed from internal customers (parts manager, body shop, wholesale representatives, inventory, parts counter people, shipping/receiving).

* Verifies that invoices match purchase orders and payments are received for each pickup when applicable.

* Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pickups, ensuring to obtain customer signature on each delivery entry.

* Acts as liaison between parts sales and customer.

* Communicates specials and promotions to customers.

* Unloads truck each night.

* Timely processing of paperwork and return of undelivered parts.

* Basic truck maintenance (filling gas tank, checking oil, keeping it clean, ensuring required inspections are performed).

* Advises Parts Manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and/or maintenance.

* Helps maintain the professional and cleanly appearance of the Parts Department.

* Assists with inventory stocking and posting orders upon arrival to expedite delivery to shop technicians and wholesale accounts.

* Crates all cores for shipment back to the manufacturer when part has been replaced.

* Other duties to meet business requirements.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

* High school diploma or GED

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Prior route delivery driver experience

ADDITIONAL:

* Must have current, valid drivers license

* Safe driving record required

* Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

* Must pass drug screen

* Must have the ability to travel throughout assigned route

* Must have flexible schedule (overtime is unpredictable and unavoidable)
