POSITION TITLE: 3rdShift Maintenance SupervisorLOCATION: Council Bluffs, IASHIFT: 3rdshift 10p 8a Sunday PM Friday AMSALARY RANGE:$70-85kREQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or GED equivalent required, bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Mechanical engineering or other technical degree program.Three plus years of previous maintenance supervisor experience (manufacturing setting)Working knowledge of plant equipment and safetyFive plus years of previous experience with Preventative Maintenance programs.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Train, motivate and direct employees to follow safe work methods and standard procedures to ensure efficient use of employees.Monitor downtime occurrences and efficiencies of the production lines, paying special attention to maintenance and mechanical trends.Maintain equipment for efficient operation within maintenance budget; operate within the constraint of the union contract and USDA regulations.Seek continuous improvement in the Maintenance Department employees and the efficiency of the production lines.Assume full ownership of predictive and preventive maintenance activities including oil analysis, vibration analysis, engine-compressor analysis, and infrared thermography.Evaluate PM/PDM activities and frequencies to ensure optimum use of workforce and resources in maximizing equipment reliability.Assume to insure safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Follow all safety procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks.Involves all associates in a team concept, keeping personnel safety, food safety and uptime as the top priorities.Follow safe work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained.Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
