NOTICE OF POSITION OPENING

POSITION: Outpatient Youth Substance Use and Mental Health Clinician

DIVISION: Center for Counseling & Psychological Services (CCPS)

DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE TO: Alycia Post, Division Co-Director

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Come join an exiting new program roll out where your expertise as an addictions counselor is highly sought after! We are seeking clinical staff to not only provide substance use services to our clients but to also help us build a new SUD program model, staff trainings, community education materials, etc. that brings SUD services to life. If youre new to the substance use field, we can train you! If youve done this work for a long time, this position gives you opportunity to work with addictions experts and build cutting edge programming with a significant amount of resources to achieve best-in-class outcomes.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Using evidenced-based practices to screen, assess, and plan treatment for youth ages 12-26, work closely with clients, their families, and our larger outpatient treatment team.
  • Provide individual and group SUD and Co-occurring services as part of a team of SUD experts.
  • Engage with schools and community partners and coordinate care with other health centers and providers.
  • Support the design, expansion, and implementation of new SUD programming.
  • As part of an inter-disciplinary team, train, educate, and support other agency clinical staff in the development of screening, assessment, and treatment skills for co-occurring mental health/ SUD treatment needs.
  • With the SUD team, explore the needs of our community, in particular schools, by collecting data and feedback on needed services and implementing services/ programming according to this information.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required: A Master's degree with license eligibility, strong clinical skills, natural curiosity and a desire to collaborate with clients and co-workers. One year of counseling experience required.

Preferred: LADC. Ability to provide training and consultation to others on youth and substance use disorders. Knowledge and experience with implementing and expanding evidence-based clinical practices including screening, assessment and treatment for youth with substance use disorders.
