**Job Title:** Warehouse Associate

**Location:** Coralville, IA

**Shift:** Day Shift, Monday-Friday 7AM to 4PM.

**Purpose statement:**

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving deliveries and unloading trucks, stocking inventory in the warehouse, performing a variety of inventory transactions, ensures accurate inventory levels.

**Essential Functions:**

* Receives inventory and non-inventory packages in the ERP system

* Completes a variety of inventory transactions in the ERP system

* Rotates stock in the warehouse to ensure that oldest materials are used first

* Operates hand-powered and motorized carts, pallet jacks, forklifts and other equipment

* Performs routine cycle counting to ensure inventory accuracy

* Interacts with Accounts Payable group to resolve discrepancies

* Repackages inventory into containers for delivery to production areas

* Picks and delivers materials to off-site locations

* Performs simple maintenance and inspections on rolling equipment

* Answers and assists employees with inventory-related questions when they come to the warehouse

* Manages expiring inventory in the warehouse and assists with part number and revision changes

* Runs reports and uses information to take action on expired, obsolete, or excess inventory

* Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values

* Performs other duties as assigned

**Education, Licensure, Certification, Registration**

* High school diploma or equivalent required

* Valid Iowa drivers license required

**Professional Experience:**

* Previous warehouse/receiving/shipping experience preferred

* Previous use of ERP system preferred

* Ability to work independently with little supervision in a fast-paced environment

* Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management in both written and verbal format.

* Ability to read and interpret safety data sheets, vendor specification sheets and other documents to determine storage conditions

* Ability to solve practical problems related to inventory management

* Adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.

* Ability to maintain both a high standard of courtesy and cooperation in dealing with co-workers.

**Physical Requirements:**

Exert 50-100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or 25-50 lbs. of force frequently

* **Lifting**: raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.

*Frequent (34-66% of work day)*

* **Sitting**: to assume a position in which the weight is largely supported by the buttocks, usually with the body vertical and the thighs horizontal.

* **Hearing**: perceiving the nature of sounds at normal range; ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make fine discriminations in sound, such as when auscultating and percussing.

* **Repetitive Motion**: substantial movements (motion) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

* **Bending**: bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist and/or bending leg; bending legs at knee to come to rest or kneel.

* **Climbing**: stairs, stools, ramps, ladders.

**Visual Acuity:**

* Work requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

* Ability to read pertinent printed material and distinguish colors.

* Ability to accurately read measurements on equipment.

* Ability to prepare and read written documentation; use of computer.
