Diesel Technician


Job Details

Magnum, established in 1978, provides supply chain network solutions with five separately incorporated divisions. With headquarters in Fargo, North Dakota, Magnum services various industries in the US. The Diesel/Tractor Trailer Tech is responsible for routine maintenance on diesel engine semi-tractors, diagnosing and repairing vehicles, and performing thorough inspections and repairs on semi-trailers and reefer units in accordance with DOT requirements and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and make recommendations on repairs as required
  • Perform repairs and modifications on all styles of tractors and trailers
  • Repair, rewire, and troubleshoot electrical systems
  • Follow company protocol when checking lights, tires, greasing, adjusting brakes, and checking framework on Trailers
  • Perform all types of welding (i.e. aluminum, steel, and stainless steel)
  • Use of computer to login/log out orders and invoices
  • Change oil, air, and fuel filters
  • Use of handle tools such as Brake drum dolly, creepers, man lift/scissor lift
  • Perform routine maintenance on diesel engine semi-tractors
  • Identify issues using diagnostic computer software

Requirements
