**Warehouse and Inventory Clerk**
**Location:** Jackson, MI, US, 49203 * Primary responsibilities include: Perform physical inventories. Report and repair inventory errors. Navigate inventory and shipping programs in the computer system.
* Job requires knowledge of product storage and inventory controls. Knowledge of current quality system is recommended. AS400, QMOS and SAP knowledge is preferred.
* Backfill in other logistical areas as directed by the Facilitator

**BASIC FUNCTION:**
Ensure accuracy of the inventory control system
**DIMENSIONS:** Inside and outside work, Could be required to change shifts, Cross train in other logistical areas.

**QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES**:
* Computer knowledge ? Proficiant in Microsoft Word and Excel
* Exemplary problem-solving skills ? Good verbal and written communication skills
* Motivated

**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:**
* Perform physical inventories / cycle counts
* Report and repair inventory errors in computer system, communicate discrepancies to departments.
* Manage scrap inventory and expedite movement of scrap, Control and document scrap tickets.
* Notify Production control and Quality of aged, damaged or quality concern materials.
* Train and serve as back-up for Shipping clerks,
* Responsibilities include departmental housekeeping and Yard 5S.
* Responsible for observing all Rules and Policies of Gerdau and the Jackson Mill.
* The incumbent is responsible for his/her safety as well as his/her colleagues and guest, seeking continuous improvements related to health and safety,
* Environment and the process efficiency and cutomers satisfaction with the quality of products and services. All efforts must be directed for preventative actions.
* All other tasks will be assigned by management as needed.
