**Entry Level Merchandiser**
Merchandising and Design Fort Myers, Florida Minimum Experience **Entry-level** Compensation **$13.00-$16.00** The Entry Level Merchandiser will assist in executing visually appealing, well-balanced store merchandise displays under the direction of Visual Manager. In this position you will remerchandise displays, signage, point-of-sale and other areas to maximize product sell-through, completing store recovery processes and managing incoming merchandise receipt and new product placement to ensure an exceptional store experience for every customer.
The Visual Team will coordinate, design and display all store merchandise to aid in generating and promoting the sale of product and accessories. This position will have freedom for floor sets, apply changes, and take direction from Visual Manager. The Visual Team is responsible for the in-store oversight and implementation of all merchandising strategies consistent with the Companys goals of creating an enjoyable, easy shopping experience to ensure new and repeat business. The Visual Team is accountable for implementing a visual merchandising strategy that aids in the achievement of the Companys sales volume and financial objectives.
Responsibilities
Assist in store merchandising displays under the direction of Visual Manager. Maintenance of displays, signage, point-of-sale and select areas regularly to maximize product sell-through. Assist in execution floor moves or any other necessary changes consistent with the layout plan and product focus; communicate regularly with Visual Manager on items that have sold. Communication is key with store teams, Visual leadership, and Management.
Complete the store recovery processes after sale. Check in and unpackage accessory merchandise and other product shipments in collaboration with the Visual Team.Adhere to all visual merchandising standards and information provided by Visual leadership. Complete other assignments and special projects as requested.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS, including but not limited to the following:
* Prior retail experience in a boutique style store helpful.
* Must be able to lift objects and product up to a maximum of 50 lbs with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects/products up to 35 lbs., in addition the ability to lift heavy objects up to 100 lbs with assistance from another associate
* Work could be performed while sitting, standing or walking
* Work performed will entail fine manipulation of hands and/or fingers, bending, twisting, squatting, and climbing, as well as upper and lower body mobility
* Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which may include nights, overnights and weekends
* High School diploma or equivalency certification required
* Valid FL driver's license is required as travel to additional locations will be necessary
* Automobile liability insurance is required to be maintained
* Must have access to a computer, internet access, printing capabilities, and e-mail
* Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate both written and verbally
* Resourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team, and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
