Introduction\rGRADE24\rLOCATION OF POSITIONDepartment of Learning Resources,\rSpring Grove Hospital Center, MDH\r\rMain Purpose of JobThe main purpose of this position is to assist the CRO in\rproviding supervision, leadership and managerial oversight to the Department of\rLearning Resources, to include the patient and staff library. The position will also assist in providing\reducational programs for staff and supervise nurse instructors, DCA Coach, in\rthe absence of the CRO, the Librarian and clerical staff. This position will receive general\rsupervision from the Chief Resources Officer.\rMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation: A Master's degree in Nursing or a related field from an accredited college or university. \rExperience: Three years of experience as a Registered Nurse to include two years as an instructor in a psychiatric setting.\rNote:Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Nursing classifications or Nursing specialty codes in the Nursing Instruction field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.\rDESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSThe desired candidates should have experience in the\rfollowing:\r1. Experienceassessing, planning, developing, implementing and evaluatingtraining materials to meet the orientation and ongoing competency\rneeds of the Hospital Staff.\r2. Experience of related accreditation needed for a\rpsychiatric hospital and certification requirements.\r3. Experience providing operational guidance and leadership\rto the department's nursing instructors.\rLICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS1. Candidates for positions in this classification must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing, 4140 Patterson Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21215 or possess a current multi-state license in party states that candidates have declared as primary states of residence. \r2. Employees in this classification may be assigned duties, which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland. \r3.
