Job AnnouncementVisuals Editor -MBN YDigitalThe Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) is seeking a self-motivated, multi-disciplinary Visuals Editor MBN Y to join our Content team for MBN Y a digital platform that's youth targeted, a product built for the platforms where young people in the MENA region spend much of their time. With content for Gen Z, a conscientious, informed, and unapologetic generation, that is concerned with social justice and not afraid to make their voices heard.SPECIFIC DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:* Edit and produce high-quality, engaging video content for social media platforms, including trimming, cutting, and arranging footage, adding transitions.* Edit music, sound effects and visual effects, color correcting and grading, and adding text overlays and captions.* Edit both long-form and short-form videos, ensuring that all content is optimized for each social media platform.* Create compelling and visually appealing thumbnails for each video that effectively communicate the content and encourage viewers to click.* Collaborate with the social media team to create compelling and creative concepts for video content.* Work closely with the content team to understand brand guidelines and ensure all content meets brand standards.* Utilize apps, AI and creative video editing techniques, to produce exceptional video content with quick turnaround and tight deadlines.* Manage multiple video projects simultaneously, from start to finish, ensuring all projects are delivered on time.* Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in social media video editing and thumbnail creation and provide recommendations for new and innovative ways to engage our audience.QUALIFICATION/EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:* A bachelor's degree or relevant experience in journalism, visual communication, film, or video production.* A creative and innovative storyteller with 4+ years' experience.* Fluency in Arabic and English written and spoken.* Knowledge of, or demonstrable interest in, the relevant content areas - for example, climate and sustainability, artificial intelligence, resilience, mental health, etc.* Proven experience as a visual editor, with a portfolio of work showcasing your skills in editing and graphics for both long and short-form video content for social media platforms.* Sound editorial judgment on a range of global issues.* Strong knowledge of video production and post-production workflows, including color grading, sound design, and visual effects.* Extensive experience working with the Adobe Creative Suite: advanced Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder, and Audition.* Proven experience in thumbnail creation with knowledge of graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop or Canva for creating thumbnails.* Strong creative and technical skills in storytelling, composition and pacing.* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.* Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members and content creators.* Understanding of social media platforms and best practices for optimizing video content and thumbnails (where applicable) for each platform.* Experience with 2-D and 3-D Animation is a plus but not necessary.MBN is an equal opportunity employer committed to workforce diversity.
