Job Title: Project Manager

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the successful completion of all aspects of the assigned Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) & Plumbing contract between R&R Mechanical and the client.
  • Ability to read and communicate all plans and specifications per contracted project drawings.
  • Prepare and monitor monthly financial forecasts and budgets for all assigned projects from beginning to end.
  • Ensure that the contract is effectively managed to meet all contractual requirements and financial goals.
  • The individual in this role is responsible for managing all aspects of the job contract. This includes overseeing turnover meetings, coordinating the scope of work and construction schedule, maintaining good customer relations, managing job costs, controlling project expenses, following purchasing guidelines, approving vendor invoices, ensuring proper staffing, managing the schedule of values, handling change orders, making value-based decisions, managing project scope, attending project meetings, ensuring compliance with project specifications, coordinating with foremen, and overseeing daily operations.
  • Evaluate and ensure the efficient operation of the project, controlling operational expenses at a minimum level that is consistent with sound industry practices and contractual requirements.
  • Provides administrative and technical direction and supervision to staff in completing work assignments.
  • Discusses, plans, and delegates major project assignments to supervisory staff; determines building and maintenance priorities that are of significant scope.
  • Provides recommendations concerning hiring, promotion, and termination of field staff.
  • Advises, discusses, and informs client staff members on construction matters and problem areas.
  • Executes purchases and payment approval of equipment and subcontractor orders.
  • Coordinates purchases of necessary materials, consumable supplies, rentals, and services through purchasing agents from appropriate sources.
  • Serves as liaison between owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Maintains sufficient records, files, controls, and procedures to ensure sufficient management and work production.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management.
  • Working knowledge of CAD/CAM & BIM software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent prioritization and project development skills.
  • Strong math and problem-solving skills.
