As an order processor, you will enter orders placed by the customer into the system for manufacturing. This includes interpreting product specifications and researching drawings. Confidentiality is a must due to the sensitivity nature of various competitive and industry documents and materials this position will be in contact with.

**What you will be doing:**

* Perform all duties relating to the processing of customer orders. Orders range from basic stock to the highest level of configured orders and detailing.

* Handle technical inquiries from manufacturing and customers, while communicating with customers on discrepancies & order conflicts

* Communicate with customers on discrepancies and/or application conflicts.

* Provide technical and problem solving support to manufacturing and customers.

* Pricing of standard and special products, and calculation of lead times on varying product types

* Interpret hardware templates and prepared detailed drawings for manufacturing requirements.

* Review order forms and prepare order for processing.

* Negotiate stock issues with customers as they arise.

* Some overtime is required

* Continually promotes a safe and harmonious working environment, demonstrating strict adherence to the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct and ASSA ABLOY Health & Safety Policy

**Qualifications that we are looking for -**

Education:

* High School Diploma or GED

* Bachelor's degree in general business or management, preferred

Experience:

* Blueprint/template reading & basic math skills required; Basic Geometry and Algebra math skills, preferred

* Excellent personal computer skills preferred (Word, Excel, Internet, email, etc.)

* Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills - communicating effectively with customers and co-workers

* AutoCAD skills preferred.

* Good organizational, planning and follow-up skills, and a sense of urgency are required

* Must be willing to work in a fast-paced, intense environment
