Las Vegas Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care is excited to announce we are Re-Opening our North Rainbow Veterinary Emergency Hospital and we are hiring Licensed Veterinary Technicians! **SIGN-ON BONUS**
North Rainbow Veterinary Emergency Hospital is located in Northern Las Vegas and will be open from 8PM-8AM, 7 days a week, 365 days/year. All patients will have direct access to specialists and critical care at our satellite practices, Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care and Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center, should further evaluation and hospitalization be required upon closure.

About the job: The primary role of the Veterinary Technician is to provide excellent care to the patients of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care hospital of Las Vegas as well as assist the veterinarian with all duties.
How you'll make a difference:
- Perform all essential duties of a Veterinary Technician
- Monitor and appropriately document patient vital signs and activity
- Provide support to all veterinarians, often assisting more than one on your shift
- Provide diagnostic, surgical and nursing care to all patients
- Perform basic, emergent, and critical care anesthetic monitoring
- Obtain and prepare samples for diagnostic testing including but not limited to blood draws, arterial blood gas sampling, cystocentesis, urinary catheter sampling and free catch urine
- Perform various laboratory procedures including but not limited to blood typing, cross matching, and slide agglutination testing
- Accurately take and process abdominal, thoracic, appendicular, spinal, and skull radiographs while following appropriate radiation safety protocols
- Properly use and maintain medical equipment
- Provide professional client communication
- Helps keep hospital areas clean and neat, maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Maintains client and patient confidentiality
- Meet or exceed performance standards for work quality and productivity
- Meet or exceed VECC expectations for attendance and punctuality
- Act as an ambassador of VECC at all times, displaying consideration, courtesy, compassion, and professionalism
What you'll bring:
- Experience working as a Licensed Veterinary Technician within ER hospital setting or 1+ years general practice LVT experience,
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long term relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community we serve
- Reliable, organized, and committed to provide high level care to our patients and clients
- A craving for lifelong learning and continuous improvements
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service is expected
- Honesty, integrity, and a desire to have fun!
Schedule: Full-time position, 3-12 hour Overnight shifts, with 4 days off!
Salary: $27 / hour or more for Licensed Veterinary Technicians based on experience, with an Overnight Pay Differential
