Category Architecture and Construction Job Type Temporary Education High School / GED Travel None Security Clearance Required None POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS): The **On-Call Laborer** reports to the Afognak Services Director and its Alutiiq subsidiaries staff. This position provides manual labor assistance at the Afognak Alimaq Center on an On-Call basis. We are continually accepting resumes for the position and will contact those qualified and interested when work becomes available.
**Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):**
* Perform tasks involving physical labor at the Afognak Alimaq Center
* Set-up and break-down room configurations for special events including, but not limited to moving furniture, set up and take down of tables, chairs, podium, dance floor, etc.
* Provide janitorial duties prior to and following events
* Other duties and projects as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: **Required Qualifications and Experience:**
* Ability to communicate with the public in a professional and courteous manner and handle difficult situations
* Must be timely in performing duties, maintain professional appearance
* Must adhere to the Corporations confidentiality policy
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines, and prioritize work effectively
* Ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision, be punctual and reliable
* Required High School Diploma or GED
* Valid state drivers license with a clean driving record
* Willing to work: days, evenings, nights, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
