Job Title: : Environmental Services (EVS)
Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 53226
Duration: 3months.
Schedule Notes: 100% Onsite. 2p-1030p - every other weekend
Duties:
- This position is responsible for maintaining a clean environment in the surgical area.
- Uses proper cleaning techniques, proper and consistent vacuuming, and touch point sanitizing. After each surgical procedure, re-establishes a safe, clean environment according to AORN Standards.
- Maintains equipment and carts in a clean, working condition at all times. Keeps all equipment reservoirs purged and cleaned; keeps vacuum parts intact and in place; carts cleaned, stocked, and organized; waste carts maintained in a clean and sanitary condition.
- Terminally cleans surgical and invasive procedure rooms and scrub/utility rooms daily.
- Details floors, corners, walls, baseboards, kick-plates, elevators, stairwells, and other assigned project aspects. Vacuums, removes spots, scrubs, and extracts carpets according to department procedures.
Skills: - A minimum of 3-6 months previous OR surgical cleaning or hospital/healthcare cleaning is preferred.
Requires the ability to read, write, or understand the English language, and communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff while performing housekeeping duties.
