JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Greater Allegheny Housing & Food Services is seeking organized and motivated individuals dedicated to providing exceptional customer service as Part Time Food Service Workers during the academic year. Multiple openings/shifts available including weekend and evening hours at Cafe Metro.

Job Duties

+ Serve and Prepare Food Items at various food stations as Directed.

+ Basic Grilling & Deep Frying.

+ Preparing Deli and Salad Items.

+ Follow simple recipes and job aides and be knowledgeable about menus and recipe ingredients.

+ Maintain quality, freshness and cleanliness of food station. Check products to ensure they meet established standards of appearance, quality and portion size. Replace all products that do not meet standards.

+ Operate equipment including grills, fryers, microwave/convection/combi ovens, pizza and toaster ovens, dough press, panini machine, steam tables, slicer, chopper, etc.

+ Clean floors, by sweeping, wet and dry mopping, or vacuuming as instructed. Perform periodic and special cleaning duties as required.
