Are you an experienced accountant looking to help ensure that the DoD are responsible stewards of taxpayer money? Are you comfortable using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems? Do you like working with government counterparts to establish and enhance processes and system functionality to improve accountability? Are you interested in applying your knowledge of FASB, GAAP, FMR and TFM-USSGL to business system solutions. Join our team as an Accountant, with a focus on business systems analysis! You will work with both our DoD Customer's Accounting department and the accounting/finance system implementation team to ensure funds are tracked and reported accurately in-line with federal law and standards. You will use your skills to troubleshoot complex issues, design process and software improvements, and assist the Government with the end-to-end process relating to accounting and reporting.

We have been supporting our customer for over 20 years with the implementation of a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) financial system, Momentum. We continue to support the various stakeholders using the system and need you to bring an accountant's perspective.

What You'll Get to Do:

You will work as an Accountant as a member of the Sustainment Team, working closely with our system implementation team and the customer to ensure the software supports the standard accounting practices. You will support month-end reporting and annual close activities, assist with implementation of best practices, as well as validate changes to the software that impact accounting or financial reporting.

This position is a great opportunity for someone who knows the principles of accounting and federal financial policies and can combine those with an understanding of the software to ensure the accuracy of the data in the system. You will have contact with the customer to improve business processes and implement new Federal mandates. More About the Role:

* Troubleshoot inconsistencies identified in the General Ledger or financial reporting (e.g., DDRS-B, Tie Points, Trial Balances, etc.)

* Advise customer on reconciliation of General Ledger and financial reports with external entities.

* Design and test changes to the ERP for improvement of accounting processes. Brief customer on the results.

* Collaborate with Government on accounting and financial reporting.

You'll Bring these Qualifications:

* Current and active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance.

* Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related.

* A minimum of 3 years of experience providing accounting services.

* Experience with a Federal financial management and/or acquisition systems ERP.

* Willingness to work at the customer's site in a secure facility.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

* CPA, CDFM, or CGFM certification.

* Experience with CGI Momentum software.

* Knowledge of SQL.
