Atlantic Tractor, recently certified as a Great Place to Work by the Great Place to Work Institute, is looking for a John Deere Agriculture Equipment Mechanic to join the Service department at its store in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.

Purpose:
Independently performs diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and /or dealer-owned Agricultural, Compact Construction and Turf equipment. Candidates require a strong work ethic to complete task efficiently with minimal supervision. Communication skills are required to clearly articulate aspects of work being performed to a customer in a courteous manner. This is an excellent opportunity for a self motivated individual interested in working for a established dealership.
Responsibilities:
* Performs advanced diagnostics and repairs on Agricultural equipment, Turf equipment and established AG Management Solutions (AMS) products, with a focus on Compact Construction equipment.
* Performs diagnostics and repairs in the field as required.
* Responsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on workorders and on time submittal of information.
* Accountable for billable time and assigned workorders.
* Conducts and supports customer clinics.
* Mentors Service Technician Trainees and Service Technicians.
* Participates in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for development of skills and knowledge.
* Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities.
* Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
* Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
* Maintain a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
* Preferably one year of experience performing service repairs.
* Experience with basic computer functions.
* Work independently or a team environment.
* Ability to perform advanced repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures.
* Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and compact construction equipment.
* Basic fuel system knowledge for both gas and diesel engines.
* Must have adequate tool set to perform job responsibilities.
* High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
* Valid Driver's license.
The pay range for this position is $20-$38 per hour, based on experience.
