The Trade Partner Inclusion + Development Manager is responsible for leading the overall management of DAVIS' Trade Partner relationships. This role oversees the full life-cycle of our Trade Partner relationships from prospective to tenured. The ability to establish and maintain relationships with business stakeholders internally and externally is central to the position.

Essential duties + responsibilities

Oversee DAVIS' Bid Management software and data integrity

Maintain database for existing companies and unique designations (MBE, CBE)

Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual trade partner reports (diversification, buy-out, coverage, etc)

Collaborate with Risk Management to conduct pre-qualification evaluations for any new requests to become part of DAVIS' trade partner pool

Serve as liaison between DAVIS and trade partners to build relationships, utilize knowledge of project challenges and course and timing of resolution, and execute mutually beneficial resolutions

Evaluate the DAVIS internal surveys and conduct surveys of trade partners to evaluate performance, establish benchmarks, and to create goals for future performance comparison

Review, verify and present survey or evaluation reports in partnership with Risk Management to maximize benefit to DAVIS and develop necessary follow up and engagement with other company resource and operational groups

Utilize knowledge of the trade partners to collaborate with the Bid Team and align trade partners with DAVIS project bids

Lead and organize DAVIS Trade Partner events such as the Trade Partner Fair, Meet and Greets, and appreciation events

Establish and maintain relationships with trade partners and local business organizations (e.g. Chambers of Commerce)

Collaborate with internal groups to develop proposal responses related to our trade partner inclusion and solicitation approach

Develop outreach events to fulfill project specific commitments or contract requirements

Coordinate and host meetings and events with trade partners to maintain relationships at various locations (ie. office, project sites, community outreach events, etc.)

Perform responsibilities with excellence in service, integrity and building relationships as exemplified in DAVIS core values

Build relationships with clients, design team, and trade partners

Actively participate in networking events / organizations

Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Experience + Special Skills

*Required

At Least five (5) years' experience in the construction industry

A minimum of (3) years in a similar role preferred

Knowledge of principles and practices of engineering and construction management, including safety, quality and sustainability standards*

Ability to prepare a presentation and actively present to others both internal and external groups*

Ability to develop strong relationships with DAVIS team members and Trade Partners*

Decision making, research and analytical problem-solving skills*

Time management with the ability to organize, assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands, and to work independently*

Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and interact effectively at all levels within the organization*

MS Office - Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook experience*

Pdf editor software experience (Brava or Bluebeam preferred)

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position may require some travel for conferences, educational sessions, and other company events.

The noise level in the office work environment is usually moderate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to higher noise levels and hazardous working conditions when working at project sites.
