We are hiring Line Cooks / Pizza Makers at Davenport's Pizza Palace! Davenport's is a family-owned pizza restaurant that has been a Birmingham staple since 1964.

Job Duties: - Prepare pizzas in a timely manner and with an attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Roll dough, tend ovens, cut pizzas, plate or box pizzas for dine-in or takeout, communicate with hosts/servers/customers to ensure pizzas reach the correct table or takeout customer
- Coordinate with hosts to ensure prompt and precise lead times for takeout orders
- Maintain a clean workstation by sweeping, mopping, wiping down surfaces, cleaning ovens, and taking trash as needed
- Follow all health department guidelines while preparing food, check food temperatures periodically
- Label prepped product with the correct day and date, rotate dough, sauce, and other ingredients daily in all coolers
- Perform open/close duties as assigned to ensure the front of house is clean, stocked, prepped, and ready for the next shift
Qualifications: - Experience is not required, but must be hard-working and eager to learn
- Be proactive in performing job duties
- Good communication skills and be able to work as a team as well as independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Be able to maintain a standing position for an extended period of time
- Be able to carry heavy containers, flour bags, and equipment, assist with unloading delivery trucks
- Jefferson County Food Handler's card is preferred, ability to obtain one is required
