Automotive Service Technician Non-Certified

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
To be a good fit for the Automotive Service Technician Non-Certified role, you will have:
- Automotive technical training and 1 year of experience
- General mechanical skills, manual dexterity and ability to operate power and hand tools, and other types of machinery
- Knowledge of the automotive repair life cycle
- Attention to detail with organization and follow-up skills
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Valid in-state drivers license, and acceptable, safe driving record
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is a plus
THE JOB
As a Non-Certified Automotive Service Technician, youll perform vehicle repairs as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. You will work alongside other technicians and typically handle maintenance work such as brakes, alignment and suspension. You will not be responsible for diagnostics. Your attention to detail will make you a valuable asset to the team as you ensure repairs are completed on time and deliver top-notch work to delight our customers.
In this role, youll interact daily with other team members including service advisors, other technicians, parts associates, cashiers, sales associates, and managers. Your specific responsibilities may include:
- Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty
- Communicating with Parts Department and service advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication
- Conducting multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations to ensure the safety and reliability of Customer vehicles
- Documenting work performed on each vehicle on the repair order
- Maintaining an inventory of normal technicians tools not normally inventoried by the Service department as special tools
- Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
- Providing an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty
