Woodruff Arts Center employees play an integral role in creating and supporting great art and education initiatives at the nation's third largest arts center. Comprised of three Art Partners-Alliance Theatre, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and High Museum of Art-there's a role for everyone at The Woodruff.

The Backstage Hospitality Assistant will meet & greet the Artist's touring party upon arrival at the venue and fulfill duties under the direction of Atlanta Symphony Hall LIVE's Event Manager or a member of the Artist's Touring Party. The position will serve as a venue liaison and assist touring personnel with all aspects of catering and dressing room hospitality.

  • Assigning artist dressing rooms per the approval of a member of the Artist's Touring Party
  • Purchasing the Artist's hospitality rider items in advance (pre-shop) or day of the show per the budget and advance
  • Setting up / preparing artist dressing rooms by placing hospitality items in the rooms per the approval of a member of the Artist's Touring Party
  • Ordering after-show food from a local restaurant for the Artist's Touring Party and coordinating the pick-up and delivery time with the Runner
  • Washing and folding bath & hand towels that were used on a show day
  • Cleaning dishes, if any, were used on a show day
  • Assisting with miscellaneous projects as directed by Atlanta Symphony Hall LIVE's Event Manager or a member of the Artist's Touring PartyMaintain show cash and receipts throughout the day
  • Maintain a professional and personable attitude with the venue and touring personnel


Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word
  • Experience in cash reconciliation


Skills and Abilities:
  • Available for long shifts, including nights and weekends (typical show days average 15 hours), in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to drive 15-passenger vehicles.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older and possess a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to maintain composure around high-profile artists/guests
  • Knowledge and love of music
  • Thorough knowledge of the local area, including area businesses & locations
  • Safe driving habits
  • Understanding of the live concert experience
  • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Positive attitude and courteous, personable manner; willingness to aid at any time
  • Attention to detail
