Position Overview
Primarily leads the planning and implementation of media to support lead generation, awareness, and branding efforts for our client base. Products include but are not limited to: Search Engine Marketing, paid social, native advertising, programmatic, direct from publisher digital inventory, print, audio, and video.

The position is also involved in offline media planning, development, and implementation.
The senior digital media manager collaborates closely with client services team members to understand client strategies and budgets, develop and fine-tune comprehensive media plans, manage the day-to-day implementation of those plans, measure and evaluate the results of the programs, and regularly report on the results to internal and external clients.

Primary Responsibilities

Media Planning
  • Work with client services team members to understand client goals, strategies, and budgets.
  • Develop annual media plans, allocate budget between offline, digital direct and programmatic media options, and summarize all recommendations in a written media plan narrative
  • Present and review plan with client and client services team members
  • Participate in the quarterly marketing planning process with clients and client services; adjust annual plan to coordinate with the tailored plans for each quarter.
  • Recommend adjustments throughout the year based on evaluation of results.
Digital Media Management
  • This position is the primary subject matter expert for Digital Media at Love & Company. Help us define the future of how we leverage digital media for our clients.
  • Lead all paid searches (e.g., Google, Microsoft) and social marketing (e.g., Facebook, Instagram) efforts for clients.
  • Set up digital advertising accounts for new clients.
  • Create and manage paid search and social media ad campaigns based on strategic direction. Be aware of client digital assets and use them to achieve client goals on various digital platforms.
  • Import goals from Google Analytics into Google Ads for conversion tracking.
  • Manage predetermined campaign expenses and adhere to budgets.
  • Plan, execute, and analyze A/B and multivariate experiments across media.
  • Perform keyword discovery, expansion, and optimization for internal and external clients.
  • Perform ongoing digital campaign optimization, such as bid updates, keyword analysis and additions, ad creation and/or fine-tuning, etc.
  • Collect and analyze data and metrics to identify trends and provide insights.
  • Collaborate with other media and IMS team members to identify new strategic opportunities, media platforms and content/assets to achieve goals.
Offline Media Management
  • Research options for each clients market, gathering media kits and rate information for each.
  • Negotiate placements, rates, and contract terms.
  • Aid in the development of media flowcharts and schedule sheets to help manage the development and tracking of insertion orders.
  • Calculate target audience delivery of offline media.
Reporting
  • Maintain a calendar of due dates for results reporting for each client.
  • Prepare monthly paid media reports containing results, key insights, recommendations, and impact to current budget allocation.
  • Provide recommendations to client services team prior to presenting to clients.
  • Participate, as needed, in monthly and quarterly reporting meetings with clients, leading the presentation of media results and recommendations.
Additional Roles & Responsibilities
  • Represent Love & Company professionally in client meetings when presenting media strategies and reporting results.
  • Support other IMS teams in developing and implementing integrated campaign strategies/tactics.
  • Draft and keep track of best practice documentation and instructional checklists that complement the IMS department and its clients.
  • Manage the revenue recognition process for digital advertising optimization and setup projects, as well as media expenses.


qualifications

The individual should have the following experience and capabilities:
  • Bachelors degree in advertising, marketing, digital media, or related field; agency experience preferred.
  • Proven work experience (2-3 years) as a digital media specialist or equivalent
  • Experience with ad servers, demand side platforms, data management platforms and analytics tools
  • Expertise in building and managing Google Ads and Microsoft paid search campaigns (Google Certification preferred). Expertise in Google Analytics 4.
  • Experience in social media (e.g., Meta) advertising
  • Experience researching, planning, and placing offline media.
  • Experience with special ad categories (eg., health, finance, housing)
  • Team player with strong communications and collaboration skills
  • Well-organized and able to multi-task and manage workload efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with project management software such as Workamajig (Basecamp) preferred.
  • Experience in media delivery audits and report components
  • Skilled knowledge of Microsoft Office. Including Word, Excel, Power Point, and database management
