Associate Happiness, Customer Happiness, Community Happiness. **Company Description:** NEX Operations Departments operate in a warehouse or a manufacturing environment and associates are subject to moderate amounts of dust, dirt, and odors, primarily produced by packaging materials and the operation of propane-powered forklifts as well as noise primarily produced by production equipment. Temperatures during the year will vary. Frequently operate a computer, read, write and interact with others in person, over the phone and via other devices. They move about within the facility and may travel to other locations. **Warehouse & Production Associate Job Description:**
NEX Transport is looking for Warehouse & Production associate to join our warehouse team!
As a condition of employment with NEX Transport, any successful job applicant will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and to successfully complete a background investigation.
**Warehouse & Production Associate Duties and Responsibilities:**
* Demonstrate a safety first attitude following all company safety policies.
* All Production/WH associates must wear all proper Personal Protective Equipment.
* Receive incoming inventory items and stocks in proper locations.
* Pick and pack inventory items according to the production schedule and customer specifications.
* Stage and ship inventory items according to the production schedule and customer specifications.
* Operate Powered Industrial Vehicles including forklifts, tuggers, stock pickers, turret trucks, high pay pickers, pallet jacks, etc., in order to fulfill business/customer needs and delivery.
* Report any problems or concerns immediately to leadership.
* Report and suggestions for improvements on a process to improve quality/safety within the job.
* Maintain working knowledge of production systems and perform various tasks within the system.
* Follow all proper Standard Operating Procedures.
* Follow 5s standards and keep a clean and safe working environment in specified area/department.
* Have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently, squat, stand, walk, twist bend consistently for 8 hours or more.
* When necessary, this position may be required to perform other functions as required to meet the business /customer needs/demands.
**Warehouse & Production Associate Qualifications:**
* Ability to gain knowledge of material service, warehousing and transportation functions.
* Ability to work with others displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude.
* Possess traits of reliability and dependability.
* Ability to effectively communicate both written and orally.
* PIV equipment experience is preferred but not required.
* Ability to be trained and learn job processes in a timely manner.
* Ability to learn computer applications and use scanners in order to meet business/customer demands/requirements.
