Job Details
Essential Functions:
- Delivering exceptional care to the dedicated client in their home
- Help execute comprehensive personalized weekly schedules and care plans
- Complete daily tasks in a safe and professional manner (ADLs)
- Supply personal companionship, remaining actively engaged with each client by providing ongoing social & emotional support
- Assist with personal care activities to include personal hygiene, mobility assistance, incontinence care, light housekeeping, feeding and meal preparation
- Keep order, safety and client enjoyment top of mind at all times
- Provide transportation to and from appointments as needed
- Administrative functions such as documentation of completion of tasks and report changes in the clients physical condition, mental capability or behavior
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Minimum of one (1) year of caregiving experience
- Valid Driver's license with a registered vehicle that is insured
- Successful completion of all state requirements and required state and Company training
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Pass a background check
- Pass an Employee Misconduct Registry (EMR) check, as defined by Texas law
- Negative TB skin test or Chest X-Ray
- Ability to follow written and verbal care instructions, and document timely and accurately in systems
- Empathy for the needs of the client
- Treats clients, staff, and the public with courtesy, respect, and presents a positive public image
- Maintains confidentiality and security of the clients medical information
Non-Required Preferred Skills, Education and Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Licensure as a CNA, HHA, PCA, HCA, CHHA, if applicable
- COVID-19 Vaccination
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Have a smartphone
Physical Requirements:
- Must have a reliable means of transportation to get to and from work
- Ability to safely perform client transfers with weight bearing requirements contingent upon client condition and needs
- Ability to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods of time throughout the work day
