Salary: $60,000 - 65,000

Hours: 40 hours per week / Monday through Friday 9 am - 5 pm and weekends when needed

Founded in 1998, Malta House is poised for growth and is looking for someone who wants to make a measurable and meaningful impact in the lives of babies and toddlers in the care of Malta House.

Essential Function:

The Manager of Fundraising and Development is responsible for the creation and management of all fundraising appeals, the oversight of all fundraising events and for the creation of marketing materials.

Key Responsibilities: Fundraising Events:

Oversee all of Malta Houses fundraising events.

Plan Committee meetings.

Fundraising Appeals and Community Fundraisers:

Create and manage all fundraising appeals.

Assist with Malta House Parish speaking program, including collections, scheduling presentations, ensuring presentation materials are prepared,

Presenting and/or organizing a speaker's bureau of volunteers to provide the presentations.

Organize school "Dress Down Days."

Marketing and Communications:

Develop marketing materials and strategies. Manage social media and website news stories.

Create marketing materials needed for the department.

Assist in overseeing all public relations for the organization.

Speak on behalf of Malta House to explain program direction, funding needs, and volunteer opportunities/participation when needed.

Other Duties and Responsibilities Research appropriate companies and potential major gift supporters through a variety of means and tools.

Work with staff to steward corporate and major donor relationships.

Provide updates on their support and continued commitment to Malta House.

Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, maintains accountability standards to donors, and ensures compliance with the code of ethical principles and standards of professional conduct for fund development and fundraisers.

Ensures establishment of and compliance with the organization's fund development and philanthropic principles, policies, and procedures.

Appropriately represents the institution, its board, and executive director to donors, prospects, regulators, development committee(s), fundraising volunteers, and the general public.

Building a Culture of Philanthropy

Responsible for fostering a culture of philanthropy through a comprehensive relationship-building program including cultivation and communications.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

A minimum of three years' experience in fundraising/development in a nonprofit environment

Proficiency in Canva or other design programs preferred.

Knowledge of Sprout Social, social media platforms, Donor Perfect, WebFlow

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and virtual meeting platforms.

Knowledge of fundraising strategies and principles.

Strong research/analytical skills and the ability to apply knowledge to the organization's funding goals.

The ability to be self-motivated and excellent attention to detail.

Excellent communication and strong writing skills.

The ability to work as part of a team and engage multiple stakeholder audiences such as staff, Board members, and volunteers.

The ability to think and operate strategically and coordinate multiple efforts maximizing strategic outcomes.
