At CARQUEST, our Team Members are passionate about delivering excellence in everything they do. We are looking for positive, dedicated individuals to join our team at the Rexdale Distribution Center in our Full-Time Auto Parts Handler position.
**Position Summary:**
Under supervision, our Team Members in our Auto Parts Handler position will pull, label and load parts accurately and within a timely manner. Our Team Members will receive, sort, count and verify incoming parts against documentation to ensure accuracy and integrity of parts for stock and distribution.
**What you bring to the team:**
* Previous warehouse training or experience is preferred but not required
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions and procedure manuals
* Ability to lift 50 pounds
* Flexibility in availability Available to work Saturdays and to work Full-Time hours
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
* Receive work assignments daily from the stocking supervisor regarding what lines need to be stocked and in what areas
* Stock new merchandise, palletize and label overstock so that it may be handled properly
* Check shipments for accuracy and report the results to the stocking supervisor
* Prepare the assigned zone to begin pulling each day
* Tag all completed orders to ensure that the tote goes to the proper location in shipping
* Pull orders quickly and accurately, as assigned by supervisor, and record the time it takes to pull orders
* Ensure that orders are picked up and signed for by the customer
* Ensure that all the parts are located for customers and return ticket to office if part isn't available so the customer can be called in a timely manner
* Load trucks and check to make sure no items are missing from the loading process
* Receive freight daily and unloads merchandise
* Ensure that all daily housekeeping duties are completed at the end of day
**Education:**
High School Diploma/GED
**$16.50/hr**
