Service Technician ajc
Reports to: Service / Operations Manager
Service Technicians are the heart of our industry. Our technicians work in a safety-first type of environment and don't mind heights or working on mechanical parts. Service Technicians are responsible for performing routine inspections, preventative and complex repairs requiring strong electrical skills, including troubleshooting, motor control, and wiring. As a Service Technician, you will need a strong electrical and mechanical background and be experienced with troubleshooting 480v 3 phase motor control systems.
Service Technician Role & Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, inspection, and repairs on overhead cranes
Electrical & mechanical troubleshooting (480 V, 3-phase, motor control, VFD, AC/DC)
Working from heights
Work closely with service supervisor and/or service coordinator to minimize delays and downtime
Ensure professionalism and a high customer service
Provide a high level of communication with customers and the office
Service Technician Required Skills and Experience
Minimum (2)+ years' experience involving electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair
Maintain a good driving record, including a valid driver's license.
Education: Associate degree in Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Technology or related field or equivalent vocational/technical training and experience is preferred
