Colorado Public Radio (CPR) is seeking a **KRCC Morning Edition Host.**

**About the Position:**

Based at the new Southern Colorado Public Media Center (SCPMC) in Colorado Springs, the KRCC Morning Edition Host is the local voice for NPR's flagship morning program, offering a seamless listening experience and a good morning greeting to a potential audience of 900,000 people across Southern Colorado and Northern New Mexico. Outside of the host shift, the Morning Edition Host contributes to the overall KRCC News presence with reporting and interviews as time allows.

**About You**

You are dedicated, nimble and in tune with the communities we serve and deliver live local news, weather and other programming initiatives with a keen attention to detail. You are able to connect with a broad audience and have the drive to stay on top of the regional news of the day. You are able to commit to a very early morning schedule - timeliness and time management are key to the role - and are dedicated to providing listeners with a great, local experience first thing every weekday morning.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

* At least one year experience as a public radio reporter with some hosting experience is required. Three years public radio experience, with some public radio news magazine hosting experience, ideal.

* Strong news judgment and understanding of journalistic standards, practices, and ethics.

* Ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines and be flexible under pressure.

**Education Equivalency**

* Bachelors degree in journalism or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Hiring Range: $60,000 - $75,000
