**Description**
**Mechanic Shop Manager:**
**Position Summary:** Under the general guidance of the Branch Manager, maintains an efficient and working environment by providing hands on expertise as well as supervision of the repair and maintenance of the Yellowstone fleet and equipment. Achieves a high level of efficiency by scheduling, repairing and maintaining the fleet and equipment. This position is responsible for repairs to equipment in an efficient manner and is also held responsible for making sure there are no unsafe use, negligence or conditions to the fleet or equipment.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
* Supervise service and repair to all equipment and fleet
* Maintain/update software on any updated information on vehicles or repairs
* Schedule preventative maintenance to the fleet and equipment
* Maintain a working parts inventory
* Responsible for quality control on repairs to the fleet and equipment
* Maintain contacts with vendors and qualify new vendors that may be added
* Responsible for cost and analysis on fleet and equipment repairs
* Responsible for accurate cost of repairs to the fleet and equipment
* Responsible for various line items in the budget
* Assist the Branch Manager in procurement of budget line item and equipment
* Communicate with managers regarding preventative maintenance and repairs
**Skills and Abilities Needed:**
* Utilize basic math principles to count, add, subtract, multiply and divide as well as use simple formulas such as area and volume
* Able to read and comprehend instructions and procedures
* Apply principles of logic to a wide range of problems
* Will be required to lift 30-50 pounds
* Will be required to give verbal instructions and receive verbal information
* Must have a valid drivers license and be insurable through company insurance plan
* Will be required to maintain acceptable driving record
