> The **Receiver** role supports the kitchen through effective and proper procedures for receiving all products entering the restaurant; including verifying actual product against packing slips, confirming product integrity, and checking product temperatures as needed. They must sign off on and log invoices and communicate any issues to the BOH Management team. Receivers are responsible for maintaining cleanliness of receiving area at all times.

> **Responsibilities**

>

> * Verifying actual product against packing slips, confirm product integrity, and check product temperatures

> * Communicate any issues regarding orders in a timely manner

> * Ensure proper storage and rotation of product

> * Maintain Health Department standards

> * Keep product organized in all coolers and dry storage areas

> * Keep coolers and storage areas clean

> * Take daily inventory of basement cooler, restaurant coolers/dry storage area

> * Maintain cleanliness of receiving hallway and all work areas at all times

> * Run product from basement to restaurant in a timely and organized manner

> * With BOH Management approval, utilize other BOH team members to complete tasks in a timely and organized fashion

> **Skills & Requirements**

>

>

> * At least 1-3 years of hotel/high volume kitchen or related experience

> * Able to lift 50lbs

> * Feels comfortable standing and carrying throughout the shift (6-8 hours)

> * Flexible schedule preferred

> * General mechanical knowledge of food & beverage equipment is a plus

> * Able to work well independently

> * High standards of cleanliness and Organization

> * Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors & peers

> * Ability to handle stressful situations and maintain a positive attitude

> **Physical Demands**

> * The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
