Job Description
As a Litigation Associate, you will play a pivotal role in our client's legal team, working closely with partners and senior associates to provide comprehensive legal services in litigation matters. Your responsibilities will include conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, participating in hearings and trials, and providing strategic advice to clients. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for litigation and a strong commitment to achieving favorable outcomes for clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to litigation matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents for filing in state and federal courts.
  • Assist in the preparation of discovery requests, responses, and motions, including managing document review and production.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and prepare for hearings, depositions, and trials.
  • Participate in client meetings, depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files, including tracking deadlines, court appearances, and document production.
  • Stay informed about developments in litigation practice areas, including changes in laws and court rules.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and eligibility to practice law in the jurisdiction where the position is located.
  • 2-5 years of experience in litigation practice, preferably in a law firm environment.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
  • Familiarity with electronic discovery tools and litigation support software is a plus.
