PGS Worldwide is actively seeking a skilled Cable and Harness Technician to support ongoing projects for an Aerospace leader in San Diego, CA. This is an initial 12-month contract-to-hire opportunity and I will respond immediately to all qualified candidates.
Job Description:
- Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, or optical areas.
- Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
- Works from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
- Operates related equipment and conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
- Performs calibration and alignment checks, makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed, and prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
- Excludes technicians working in Production or Quality Assurance.
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED and 4 years of electronics experience.
- Ability to work any shift.
- Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- US Citizenship.
Desired:
- Microsoft Office Suite knowledge (Word and Excel).
- Aerospace equipment experience.
- Experienced in calibration and preventative maintenance of electronic equipment.
- Ability to work in a versatile environment, performing parallel tasks and duties.
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and apply information.
- Soldering experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair support equipment.
- Familiar with voltage circuitry.
- Ability to generate and support disposition of discrepancy documentation.
- Ability to adhere to GSE processes, procedures and protocols.
- Romer Arm, Terahertz experience.
