Cable and Harness Technician

PGS Worldwide is actively seeking a skilled Cable and Harness Technician to support ongoing projects for an Aerospace leader in San Diego, CA. This is an initial 12-month contract-to-hire opportunity and I will respond immediately to all qualified candidates.



Job Description:




  • Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, or optical areas.

  • Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.

  • Works from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.

  • Operates related equipment and conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.

  • Performs calibration and alignment checks, makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed, and prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.

  • Excludes technicians working in Production or Quality Assurance.



Requirements:




  • High school diploma/GED and 4 years of electronics experience.

  • Ability to work any shift.

  • Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • US Citizenship.



Desired:




  • Microsoft Office Suite knowledge (Word and Excel).

  • Aerospace equipment experience.

  • Experienced in calibration and preventative maintenance of electronic equipment.

  • Ability to work in a versatile environment, performing parallel tasks and duties.

  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and apply information.

  • Soldering experience.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair support equipment.

  • Familiar with voltage circuitry.

  • Ability to generate and support disposition of discrepancy documentation.

  • Ability to adhere to GSE processes, procedures and protocols.

  • Romer Arm, Terahertz experience.
