Manager, Facility Security


Job Details

The Manager, Facility Security will administer and execute a strong security program in compliance with the 32 CFR Part 117 (National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual- NISPOM) and associated corporate and government policies and directives. This position has management responsibilities.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Administer a comprehensive security education training program.

Interface with government customers on security related issues.

Prepare and maintain the company SPP to include AIS plans.

Use DISS, e-QIP and other security software in the performance of assigned duties.

Perform required self-inspections of security programs.

Coordinate with the Corporate Office on security matters.

Manage and implement physical security safeguards for the protection of personnel and property.

Prepare and maintain policy and procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors' access to restricted records and materials.

Maintain classified document account.

Prepare assessments involving possible security violations and initiates measures to correct security deficiencies.

Prepare, issue, and maintain DD254s.

Provide input/review of RFPs.

Supervise Security Specialists in the process of personnel clearances, special access requests and other personnel clearance actions.

Provide leadership and mentoring to other security personnel.

Performs additional duties and responsibilities as needed.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications

Associates Degree in Business, Security, Cybersecurity or related field or equivalent experience

Facility Security Officer (FSO) Certification for Possessing Facilities

Knowledge of supporting security disciplines, including document control, visit certs, personnel security processing, and security processes and procedures.

Must be able to maintain a TS level security clearance with a current Single Scope Background investigation (SSBI) and SCI access.

Five to ten years of experience in working with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency.

Knowledge in the use of DISSDISS, DIAS COMSEC, and DoD/OPM, e-QIP.

Required Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information to various audiences and all levels of the organization, both verbally and through written communications.

Must be dependable, responsive, customer focused and possess the qualities of diplomacy, tact, excellent judgment, discretion, and initiative and perform in a multi-tasked and dynamic environment.

Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Highly experienced in interfacing with Government customers and executive management.

Requires the ability to make sound decisions, manage time, take independent action, analyze problems, and provide focused solutions.

Strong and effective leadership skills

Experience managing, developing, and mentoring other security team members.

Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% to other CDW offices or client sites.
