**Digital assessment test is required to be completed within 14 days of submitting application.

Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Capable of running the furnace in a safe manner.

+ Monitor steel and slag chemistries and make proper adjustments for customer's requirements.

+ Ensure good housekeeping practices are carried out throughout job areas and grounds.

+ Coordinate with downstream operations with daily activity.

+ Support other departments as needed to strengthen BRS profitability and continual improvement efforts.

+ Assist shift supervisor in achieving operational goals and ensuring crew safety while developing the skills of 2nd helpers.

Qualifications:

+ Quality and detail oriented

+ Strong technical and analytical/ problem solving skills/ mechanically inclined

+ Good insight into team dynamics and positive team player

+ Good verbal communication skills; computer literate

+ Ability to routinely lift and move objects during shift

+ High School diploma or equivalent; college degree is a plus

+ Minimum of 1 year experience in a heavy manufacturing environment

+ Previous experience on EAF furnace deck required

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to routinely work in a hot environment with scheduled 12 rotating shifts, across weekends and published holidays. This position also requires repetitive stretching, reaching, walking and lifting 50# to support routine responsibilities.
