Position: (MIDS) Senior Computer/Hardware Engineer (Job ID:3304) Location: San Diego, CARemote Status: On-Site Job Id: 3304 # of Openings: 1Senior Computer/Hardware EngineerContingent upon Contract AwardPurpose:* Valkyrie Enterprises has need for a Computer/Hardware Engineer who will be key in providing technical support to NAVWAR.* Located in San Diego, CAJob Description:* Develops Responsible for technical communication with management/other sites. Interfaces with customers. Monitors overall system performance.* Troubleshoots LAN/WAN network communications operations, hardware and application software. Loads new software releases and maintenance updates.* Tracks trouble calls and processes performance reports.* Maintains inventory system.* Performs system security.* Performs system analysis, integration and support of new interfaces/products. May manage the tasks, priorities, and objectives of the government staff.* Responds to equipment repair requirements.Qualifications:* Must have a master's degree from an accredited college/university, in applied science, computing, engineering, mathematics, physics, management information systems, or other related engineering or computer science discipline and at least 10 years in related experience.* Must have at least 10 years of experience performing hardware engineering management, reduction, and analysis of data, designing tests, and laboratory analyses, including scientific analyses and interpretation of research results.* Must have at least 10 years of experience with hardware engineering that includes hardware planning, requirements analysis, design, development, integration, and testing.* Must have at least 10 years of experience with design and development of complex electronic systems with an emphasis in military based tactical communication systems.Security Requirements:* Must have an Active Top Secret DoD Secret security clearance and the ability to maintain one.Travel Requirements:* Occasional travel- less than 10%* If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.
