Job Details

TransCore-Amtech Systems (AMS), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full-time Manufacturing Operator II to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Job Summary: The Manufacturing Operator II performs various mechanical, automated, or hand assembly, and processing of assemblies and sub-assemblies. Under limited supervision, uses visual aids, wiring lists, and written instructions to assemble, solder, rework or reassemble units or sub-assemblies. May be required to set up, operate and perform routine maintenance on process equipment.

This position is for our D12 shift which is Thursday - Saturday from 6:00am to 6:30pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Mechanical, hand soldering, or building of printed wire assemblies (PWAs) to meet or exceed established quality standards and per the documentation or instructions provided.
  • Operates Automated and/or manual assembly equipment such as Pick-N-Place, Wave Solder equipment, and other computerized automated processing apparatus.
  • Provides accurate electronic or handwritten data and/or information.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years related experience.
  • Must have troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Must have soldering skills.
  • Knowledge of use of assorted electrical bench test tools and instruments
  • MS Office Software and data entry skills
  • Must have time management skills and be detail oriented.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.


Education:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
