Job Overview:

Perficient currently has a career opportunity for an Integration/Enterprise Architect. The Integration/Enterprise Architect MUST have previous experience with EDA (Event Driven Architecture).You will play a critical role in designing and implementing robust and scalable integration solutions. Your focus will be on connecting various systems, applications, and data sources within an organization. Specifically, we are seeking someone with experience in Kafka and Cloud technologies to lead our integration efforts

Responsibilities

  • Solution Design:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design integration solutions.
    • Create architectural blueprints for integrating on-premises and cloud-based commercial software applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, CMS).
    • Evaluate and recommend appropriate integration patterns, tools, and technologies.
  • Kafka Expertise:
    • Design, implement, and maintain Kafka-based event-driven architectures.
    • Configure and optimize Kafka clusters for high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
    • Ensure data consistency, reliability, and low-latency communication using Kafka topics and partitions
  • Cloud Integration:
    • Leverage cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for seamless integration.
    • Implement serverless functions, APIs, and event-driven workflows.
    • Work with DevOps and engineering teams to develop service catalogs and deployment pipelines.
  • Technical Leadership:
    • Mentor and guide development teams on best practices for integration.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to integration and event-driven architectures.


Qualifications

  • Experience building enterprise events and being part of an event driven architecture team building events-based integrations.
  • Experience with Kafka (AWS, Confluent etc) and defining standards, patterns, and best practices for building an evens driven enterprise.
  • Working with multiple teams to understand and map the business use cases to event types and event platform. Document solution architecture, with pros and cons of approaches.
  • Experience working closely with PO's, Business leads, EA's and engineering teams.
  • Influence and help adopt EDA. Measure the maturity of platform and present value outcomes periodically across the ET areas. Creating and publishing roadmap of EDA capability.
  • Certifications on Apache kafka a plus.
  • Overall 10+ years of technology experience with one or more EDA initiatives (3 to 4 years).


The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $81,978 to $178,090. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
