Scope of position:
To clean and sanitize clothing and linen for residents and staff of the Nursing Home.
* Full time positions only, paid in multiple payments over a specified period.
Examples of Duties
- Collect soiled linen, clothing and other items from all units of the Nursing Home and accept soiled linen, clothing and other items from other approved sources daily.
- Separate soiled linen, clothing and other items in accordance with department policies and procedures; label clothing, linen and other personal items for residents.
- Wash soiled linen, clothing and other items in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Dry and/or hand fold washed linen, clothing and other items in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Store, set up linen carts and clothing carts and deliver to units of the Nursing Home or prepare for pick up by other approved sources in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Drive Laundry truck from one building to another.
- Provide work direction to Correctional inmates for approved laundry functions.
Typical Qualifications- Duties require no prior experience or training.
- Must be able to occasionally move 100 pounds or more with the use of assistive devices such as dolly, Hoyer lift, wheelchair, et.
- Move up to 50 pounds
Supplemental InformationShift Differential: - $2.00/hour - 2nd shift
- $2.00/hour - 3rd shift
- 20% of base rate of pay Weekend premium - all shifts
