**Electro-Mechanical Assembler**

**The Space and Defense Group in Salt Lake City, UT** is looking for an **Electro-Mechanical** **Assembler II** to join our Production Team.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Perform mechanical work by assembling equipment in accordance with specified procedures in an assembly line
* Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
* Use of basic hand tools, i.e. sockets, screwdriver, torque tools, wrenches ect
* Keep records of production quantities and time
* Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts
* Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
* Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
* Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
* Verifies specifications by measuring completed component
* Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
**Basic Qualifications:**
* High School Diploma or GED
* 3 years or more of experience in a related industry
* Ability to learn quickly, work well under pressure, and lead others to do the same.
* Experience with mechanical controls is preferred
* Basic/Intermediate computer skills
* Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.
* This position require access to export controlled information.
