Unique Opportunity for Psychologist for Children with Autism - Full or Part time

Job Description:

The position of Psychologist can be PT, FT or contract, depending upon the ideal candidate's experience and interest. To facilitate access to behavioral health for families needing services, we have an opening for a Doctoral level licensed psychologist to conduct diagnostic assessments, prepare reports, provide important family support, and interdisciplinary clinical support for our other providers. Our clinical teams include BCBAs, Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and others to support the children attending our full-time center-based program. We foster a supportive environment for our therapists to contribute meaningfully and to grow their own careers. This is a dynamic position with the opportunity to share your support and expertise with families, their children, and with other clinicians in meaningful ways.

Ally Behavior Centers is a leading DC area-based provider of behavioral health services to young children with autism. The goal of Ally is not to be the biggest provider of ABA services in the DC area, it is to be the best provider of services. Desired qualifications and job duties:

PhD or PsyD required

Clinical License in Maryland required. Willingness to pursue Virginia licensure is ideal

5+ years experience providing services with autism and developmental disabilities

Experience with conducting psychological assessments on children, especially ages 18 months to 6 years using key diagnostic instruments (ADOS-2, CARS-2, Vineland-3, etc.)

Opportunity for developing and conducting staff inservice trainings, family support sessions, parent trainings, tracking and interpreting outcomes measures, potential for research activity

Family support and/or family therapy experience desired

Familiarity with ABA therapy

Strong ability to work within interdisciplinary teams

Experience with navigating school IEP processes would be helpful

Some willingness to travel in DMV area

Strong and fluid writing competence

Desire for professional growth and career advancement
