Job Details
This position will provide oversight of both the fitness room's, Garrison Hall North and Caves Fitness Center. Duties will include but are not limited to greeting visitors, tracking equipment, communicating with prospective students and parents, along with assisting with general administrative duties.
Education/Experience
Currently enrolled Stevenson University student in good standing with the University academically and judicially. Experience in an office setting or with customer service is a plus but not required.
Knowledge/Skills/Ability
* Punctuality and self-motivation are essential
* Ability to converse with prospective students/parents, and current students/faculty/staff with a clear and friendly speaking voice
* Customer service experience preferred
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
* Strong organizational skills
* Ability to work independently
* Must be flexible with a professional and optimistic attitude
* Positive SU spokesperson at all times
* Must be dependable and reliable, a team player
* Preserving confidentiality is a must
* Knowledgeable of Stevenson University
* Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
Physical Requirements
Medium work: exerting up to 45 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Position requires some light lifting of accessories and/or fitness equipment. Keyboarding, standing and/or sitting, walking, talking and hearing. Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as viewing a computer terminal. Will be working on computers and doing data entry, etc. Clear speaking voice.
Essential Functions
* Oversee and maintain both fitness centers
* Assist Stevenson University members with their fitness needs
* Checking student/faculty/staff IDs
* Respond to communications via phone, in person and/or email
* Welcome visitors to the University, Garrison Hall North, and Caves Fitness Center.
* Being the liaison with Stevenson personnel
